Ordinary carbon steel pipelines are prone to corrosion and scaling when transporting sewage or chemical wastewater, which reduces flow efficiency and can cause blockages. Additionally, protective coatings often peel off and fail. Steel pipes lined with PO/PE, produced via rotational molding or lining processes, feature a tightly bonded inner layer that is resistant to acids and alkalis and prevents scaling. The smooth inner surface minimizes fluid resistance, significantly reducing pumping energy consumption. These pipes are suitable for low to medium corrosion conditions, such as wastewater treatment and municipal water supply and drainage systems. Compared to PTFE pipes, they offer higher cost-effectiveness, easy installation, and a service life far exceeding that of ordinary anti-corrosion steel pipes, providing enterprises with a high-value solution for fluid transport.
