About PT Golden Tekstil Indonesia
On a 171,401 m² site inside the Kendal Industrial Park in Central Java, PT Golden Tekstil Indonesia (GTI) has built one of Indonesia's most complete integrated textile operations — a single campus where yarn becomes fabric, fabric becomes finish, and finish becomes trust. Backed by a USD 190 million investment and generating an annual turnover of USD 150 million, GTI stands as a serious industrial commitment to Indonesia's textile future, creating 2,050 local jobs along the way.
The scale is deliberate. Every year, GTI's looms and dye houses turn out 48 million yards of yarn-dyed fabric and 36 million yards of piece-dyed fabric, while its digital print line — still scaling up — is growing from today's output toward 0.45 million yards a month, or 5.4 million yards annually.
GTI's mission is to transform lifestyles through fashion, creating value for customers, employees, investors, and partners while actively fulfilling social and environmental responsibilities. That mission shows up in how the company designs, tests, and manufactures.
Designing at the Speed of Fashion
Behind every roll of fabric is a digital-first design pipeline — Fabric Design System platforms like YX Weave, Ned Graphics, and Penelope; a Digital Fabric E-Library built on Paperflite; and 3D Garment Design tools including Bronzwear, Style 3D, and CLO 3D.
A Product Range Built for Every Brief
GTI's fiber library spans natural cotton and linen blends, sustainable options like recycled polyester, recycled cotton, organic cotton, and Lenzing's Eco-Vero and Refibra, synthetic and cellulosic fibers, and stretch constructions from simple cotton spandex to 4-way stretch. Layered on top is a finishing menu — mercerized, anti-bacterial, anti-UV, wrinkle-free, water/oil/stain repellent, cooling, thermal, smart-temperature — spanning premium poplins, oxfords, flannels, prints, dobby weaves, seersucker, linen looks, and heavyweight bottom and outer fabrics.
Proof, Not Just Promises
GTI operates its own in-house testing center, certified to AATCC, ASTM D, JIS, and the full ISO standard suite — with testing protocols approved directly by Polo Ralph Lauren and Kohl's. Its fabrics clothe some of the world's most recognized names: Calvin Klein, Nautica, Macy's, Kohl's, Hugo Boss, Brooks Brothers, Polo Ralph Lauren, Men's Wearhouse, Tommy Hilfiger, J.Crew, Costco, Uniqlo, Olymp, s.Oliver, and Dillard's.
Sustainability as Infrastructure
GTI's environmental commitments are engineered into the plant itself. A wastewater treatment facility processes 4,000 tons per day, with a recycling system cutting water consumption by 300,000 tons annually — sharpened further in the 2024 sustainability report: 80–100 tons of water recycled daily, saving 112 m³ per ton of fabric produced each year. An alkali recovery system reclaims 750 tons during the mercerizing process alone.
On energy: an Echo Wind Flowing Neutral System saves 2 million kWh of electricity annually; 26,000 sqm of solar panels sit atop the facility; and starting January 2025, GTI is retiring coal entirely in favor of biomass — a transition the sustainability report credits with eliminating 12,000 tons of CO₂ emissions per year and cutting sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide emissions by up to 70% compared to coal combustion. Insulating dyeing machines saved 2% of standard steam consumption, while a centralized, demand-responsive dust collection fan for brushing machines saves 13 kWh per 10,000 meters produced. Year-over-year, electricity usage is down 11% and steam usage down 8% against 2023 levels, and sustainable yarn purchasing has risen 179% compared to the year before.

People, Not Just Production
GTI's values — collaborative, innovative, integrity, loyalty, tenacious, adaptive — extend past the factory floor. The company has issued more than 1,000 interest-free loans to help employees obtain motorcycle licenses, serves 2,400 free meals to workers every day, has paid more than USD 320,000 in employee income tax annually, and monitors the site with over 800 CCTV cameras for worker safety. Regular evacuation drills, ongoing safety and rights training, and community moments like Indonesia Independence Day celebrations round out the company's approach to its workforce.
GTI's stated vision is to become a world-class fabric producer that exists through technology and sustainable development.
