Guangzhou Runfu Biotechnology Co., Ltd is the developer and manufacturer of Trueway — the original key-swappable smart lock with patented modular architecture. Founded in December 2015 with a 2,500㎡ manufacturing facility in Zhongshan Dongfeng Town, we specialize in designing, engineering, and producing next-generation access control solutions for the global market.

Founder & Leadership
Our founder, Stanley Ke, spent nearly 20 years at the forefront of China's smart lock manufacturing sector, including a senior role at Digi Lock — the company that became China's one of top3 smart lock exporter since 2002-2013 by volume before its acquisition by Assa Abloy, the world's largest lock and security group.
This background means Trueway was not built by a startup guessing at product-market fit. It was built by someone who shipped millions of smart locks to Europe, North America, Middle East, and Southeast Asia; who deeply understands what fails in the field and what distributors actually need; and who knows that after-sales cost kills distributor margins — and designed a product to solve it.

Trueway is a smart lock platform built around a single, permanent lock body and several interchangeable front-panel modules:

Core innovation: When a module fails, becomes outdated, or needs to be upgraded, the user simply inserts a key into the module slot, turns to release, and swaps the panel in under 1 minute — without tools, without a technician, and without removing the lock from the door.

Year Milestone
December 2015 Guangzhou Runfu Biotechnology Co., Ltd founded. Stanley Ke brings 20 years of smart lock industry experience to build a new kind of access control company.
2016 Core innovation conceived and filed for patent protection in China. China Invention Patent CN201610502753 — the foundational key-release modular mechanism.
2018–2022 R&D and prototyping phase. Multiple generations of modular lock bodies and front-panel modules tested in real-world conditions across China.
2023–2024 Product commercialization begins. Model RF-1 was launched.
2025
1. U.S. Patent No. 19,212,665 granted — first major international validation of the modular key-swap technology.
2. German Utility Model Patent DE202025001780 granted.
3. U.S. Copyright Registration filed (Application Receipt No. 14921392341) for product design and technical documentation.
4. FCC-ID and CE-RED certifications obtained.
5. Obtained the US trademark.
6. Model RF-2 was launched.

1. Model RF-3 was launched.
