The LB collimator is a single-piece optical lens for automotive LED low beam headlamps. An arrayed microstructure surface collimates the light coming out of the LED source and projects it evenly, so the low beam holds its brightness with less optical loss. The optical surface is shaped to form a defined cutoff line with low glare, supporting beam pattern compliance for oncoming traffic. Molded in one shot from optical-grade PC or PMMA, the lens is compact and lightweight for module integration.

The LB collimator is offered in two material options, optical-grade PC and optical-grade PMMA. Lens geometry, mounting features, material grade and beam pattern target are defined per headlamp project rather than held as fixed catalogue sizes, following the company's customization strategy of one product, one focus point. Share your LED source, module envelope and photometric target, and the engineering team confirms the matching configuration.
The lens is molded in a single shot from optical-grade PC or PMMA, so the collimating surface, the beam-shaping surface and the mounting body sit in one part with no stacked alignment. The arrayed microstructures do the collimating work, while the shaped optical surface forms the cutoff. Tooling is built in-house: mold cavity precision adjustable within 5 microns, CNC positioning accuracy up to 10 nanometers, and two-color and three-color molding in a single production run when a project requires it.
The lens is used in automotive lighting, mainly in LED low beam headlamp modules and projector-type headlamp assemblies where a defined cutoff line and low glare are required. It suits lamp makers integrating a compact collimating element into a low beam optical path, and projects exported to EU, USA, Middle East, Japan and Korea markets through the company's existing customer base.
Optical design, precision injection mold design and manufacturing are the company's core competencies, backed by a 50-person R&D team and 167 patents, of which 17 are invention patents. Related in-house capabilities include high-precision thick-wall lenses up to 50 mm thick, automotive light guides up to 1,300 mm long, and two-color or three-color parts in one run. For low beam lens projects this means the optical surface, cutoff shape, material grade and mounting interface can be engineered around your module.
Is the low beam lens available in both PC and PMMA?
Yes. Both optical-grade PC and optical-grade PMMA are offered, and the grade is fixed per project together with the photometric target.
Can the beam pattern be adapted to our headlamp module?
Yes. The optical surface and cutoff line are defined per project through in-house optical design, using the LED source and module envelope you provide.
Do you supply the injection mold as well as the lens?
Yes. Optical design, precision mold design and mold manufacturing are handled in-house, with cavity precision adjustable within 5 microns.
How is yellowing controlled over the lamp lifetime?
The optical-grade material is specified for heat resistance and UV aging resistance, so the lens resists yellowing and maintains stable light output.
What information do you need for a quotation?
LED source details, module envelope, beam pattern or photometric target, annual volume and required quality documentation.
What are the MOQ and lead time?
Both are confirmed per project after the optical design and tooling scope are agreed, since each lens is built to a specific headlamp program.
Which quality systems cover this product?
The company holds TS16949 automotive technical specification certification and ISO9001 quality management system certification.
