Eastman TXIB Viscosity Reducer for PVC Plastisol & Medical Gloves

High-purity 2,2,4-trimethyl-1,3-pentanediol diisobutyrate (CAS 6846-50-0) designed to cut PVC plastisol viscosity while maintaining stable molding and low migration for medical and consumer goods.

Key Features

  • Viscosity at 25°C: 9 cP – dramatically lowers PVC plastisol initial viscosity
  • Boiling point 281°C – low volatility, stable processing
  • Non-VOC, phthalate-free, REACH and RoHS compliant
  • Excellent compatibility with DINCH, DOTP, ATBC and calcium-zinc stabilizers
  • Used in medical gloves, catheters, toys, and artificial leather

Applications

  • PVC paste resin products – medical gloves, examination gloves, catheters (Class 1-2)
  • Toys, children's products, artificial leather, floor leather, wallpaper
  • Injection molded pipe fittings, valves, connectors, plastic containers
  • Cable sheaths and insulation layers
  • PU elastomers: viscosity reduction and surface smoothness
  • EVA emulsions, inks and pigments
