Features:

Extremely high energy density; very low self-discharge rate; wide operating temperature range; excellent storage life and reliability; stable operating voltage.

Application scenario: The number of devices is large, deployment is dispersed, maintenance is difficult after installation, and the battery life is required to be synchronized with the device life (10-20 years).

Typical devices: smart water meters/gas meters/heat meters: the battery powers the data acquisition, valve control, and wireless remote transmission modules. The meter is installed once, with the expectation that the battery will not need to be replaced throughout the entire usage period.

LPWAN nodes: such as LoRa and NB-IoT terminals, distributed in cities, farmlands, and mountainous areas, used for environmental monitoring, smart agriculture, and asset tracking.

Application:

Ultimate requirements for reliability and environmental adaptability (extreme temperatures, shock, vibration), cost-insensitive.

Typical equipment:

- Fuses and munitions: provide disposable power sources for the guidance systems of missiles and smart shells.

- Individual soldier equipment: night vision devices, radar, communication relay equipment.

- Underwater weapons and detection: torpedoes, sonar buoys.

- Spacecraft: provide backup power or short-term mission power for key subsystems of satellites and explorers.

TPMS: Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensors, installed inside the wheels, operate in harsh environments, cannot be recharged, and require a battery life of 5-10 years.

eCall Emergency Call System: Must be able to automatically send a distress signal even if the vehicle's main power fails.

ECU Backup Power, Keyless Entry System.

Industrial and Medical Safety:

Safety Instrumented Systems: such as emergency stop systems, gas detection alarms.
Medical Devices: implantable medical devices (such as early pacemakers or defibrillators), portable monitors, automated external defibrillators.

Downhole Oil Tools: used for measurement while drilling, perforation, resistant to high temperature and high pressure.

Advantages:

· Used in underwater vehicles, submarine buoys, and space return capsules.

· Compared to lithium-ion batteries, reducing the weight by 30%-50% while doubling the working time.
