This single screw barrel and screw set features a nitrided bimetallic design specifically for high-filler PVC extrusion applications. The bimetallic lining (alloy hardness HRC50-65, depth 0.8-2.0mm) combined with nitrided case (HV850-1000, depth 0.45-0.7mm) ensures superior resistance to abrasive calcium carbonate fillers. Suitable for film blowing and pipe extrusion lines processing PVC compounds with high filler content.

Available in diameters from Φ20 to Φ500. The bimetallic lining is applied to the barrel inner surface. Material options include 38CrMoAl, 42CrMo, SKD61, and other alloys suitable for nitriding and bimetallic overlay. Custom lengths and feed section geometries are available upon request.
The screw and barrel are manufactured from high-grade alloy steels such as 38CrMoAl (1.8509), 42CrMo, SKD61, or equivalent, with a nitrided case and bimetallic alloy lining on the barrel. The bimetallic layer provides wear resistance against abrasive fillers. The screw can be nitrided or coated with chromium for enhanced performance.
Specifically designed for high-filler PVC pipe, profile, and sheet extrusion lines. Works with PVC conical twin-screw extruders (as per our application scenario) but also suitable for single screw extruders processing high-filler PVC compounds. Continuous counter-rotating conical twin-screw extrusion is typical, but the single screw variant can be adapted for pre-plasticizing or secondary extrusion stages.
