The PMT-1000 is a portable nondestructive indentation tester designed to rapidly identify material susceptibility to stress corrosion cracking (SCC). It predicts SCC thresholds from indentation curve features, shortening screening cycles significantly. Ideal for oil & gas, chemical, and nuclear sectors where rapid SCC-resistant material screening is critical.
This portable tester performs multi-point rapid screening on a single specimen to locate the most sensitive zones, evaluates SCC sensitivity differences between weld HAZ and base metal, and detects the effect of cold work hardening on SCC susceptibility to optimize forming processes. It eliminates standard tensile specimen preparation, saving material and machining costs.

This standard model PMT-1000 is available with wired or wireless power options (220V/24V) to suit various field conditions. Custom fixtures can be designed to match specific onsite working conditions, as the company independently develops and matches a variety of supporting fixtures.
The tester is designed to evaluate materials including cemented carbide, stainless steel, and aluminum alloy. Its portable structure allows for in-situ testing inside autoclaves and on finished components, making it versatile for different field applications.
This instrument is suitable for industries such as petrochemical, energy and power, wind power and renewable energy, aerospace, pharmaceutical, fine chemical, new energy/new materials, and pesticide manufacturing. It is used for periodic inspection of pressure vessels, online inspection of pressure piping, in-service equipment life assessment, and weld quality testing.
A chemical plant used the PMT-1000 to test equipment, with stable operation over 10 years. The result was described as "Minutes Results in Just, Efficient, Fast, and Highly Accurate."
