The Automatic Framing Machine is a servo-driven PV module framing and gluing station built for solar panel manufacturers who are upgrading from manual framing or expanding an existing module assembly line. Each module is framed in about 25 seconds, with opposite-side deviation held to ±0.5mm, diagonal difference within ±1mm and frame crevice kept below 0.3mm.
A double glue head with automatic grabbing swing frame handles frame pick-up and assembly, cutting manual handling steps and stabilising output quality. The machine accepts modules measuring 1630–2500mm long and 950–1400mm wide, and runs on 12KW, 380V/50Hz power with 0.5–0.8MPa compressed air at 400L/min.

The documented configuration is the PV Module Framing Machine with double glue head and automatic grabbing swing frame. It is supplied as a standalone framing unit for existing plants, or as one station inside a turnkey module assembly line covering glass loading, stringing, layup, lamination, framing and EL testing. Module format compatibility is defined by the 1630–2500mm × 950–1400mm range.
The frame is built from carbon steel for structural rigidity, aluminum alloy for moving assemblies that benefit from lower weight, and 304 stainless steel on surfaces exposed to glue and cleaning. The layout is 6100 × 3500 × 2650mm, giving the glue head and swing frame clearance to travel around the module without obstruction.
Installed in PV module manufacturing plants, new energy equipment factories and PV cell module facilities, the machine suits line upgrades, retrofits and manual-to-automatic transformation projects. It runs 24/7 in an indoor, clean and dust-controlled workshop at ambient temperatures of −10 to 40°C. The equipment should be installed in a dry, well-ventilated area free of corrosive gases, with a clean operating zone so debris and dust do not enter the mechanism.
YNTECH supports layout design, equipment manufacturing, factory installation, commissioning, technical training and after-sales maintenance. Machines can be delivered as standalone units or integrated into a complete solar panel production line, and the company's equipment is built to adapt to conventional, TOPCon, HJT and BC module production. Operators jog each individual mechanism through the operating pendant during setup and changeover.
India – production line upgrade, 8 units. A solar photovoltaic manufacturer modernised its framing stage as part of a line upgrade project using eight framing machines. Reported results after installation were improved production efficiency, more consistent PV module quality with continuous production, reduced material loss, and lower labour costs. The client relationship spans 10 years of cooperation.
What module sizes can this framing machine handle?
The documented working range is 1630–2500mm in length and 950–1400mm in width, measured as L×W. Share your module drawing with our engineers to confirm fit before ordering.
What cycle time should we plan for?
The rated framing speed is 25 seconds per piece, which sets the throughput for your framing station when modules are fed continuously.
How is framing accuracy controlled?
Servo-driven positioning delivers an opposite-side difference of ±0.5mm and a diagonal difference of ±1mm, with frame crevice held below 0.3mm.
What utilities must be ready before installation?
Plan for 12KW at 380V/50Hz, a compressed air supply of 0.5–0.8MPa, and air consumption of 400L/min. Footprint is 6100 × 3500 × 2650mm.
Can it be retrofitted into our existing manual framing line?
Yes. The machine is designed for line upgrades, retrofitting and manual-to-automatic transformation; an Indian customer integrated eight units during a production line upgrade project.
What workshop conditions are required?
An indoor, clean and dust-controlled workshop at −10 to 40°C is required, and the machine must be installed in a dry, well-ventilated environment free of corrosive gases.
What is the machine built from?
The structure combines carbon steel, aluminum alloy and 304 stainless steel, with stainless steel on glue-exposed and cleaning-exposed surfaces.
What support is included after delivery?
Layout design, manufacturing, factory installation, commissioning, technical training and after-sales maintenance are provided by YNTECH's in-house engineering team.
