The side grip hydraulic pile driver is designed for sheet pile installation in confined areas where conventional overhead clamping is not feasible. Its side-clamp mechanism allows operation under low headroom and narrow corridors, such as under bridges or inside tunnel pits. The machine generates high-frequency vibration transmitted through the side clamp to liquefy soil and reduce friction, enabling efficient pile driving and extraction.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Vibration Frequency | 2500 rpm (typical for FV series) |
| Operation Pressure | 32 MPa |
| Work Flow | 420 L/min |
| Hammer Weight | ~4200 kg (FV-800 base) |
| Applicable Excavator Class | 75–85 t |
| Max. Pile Length | 27 m |
Note: Exact specifications may vary depending on excavator and pile conditions. Contact our team for detailed compatibility.
The side grip pile driver is available in the SV series (e.g., SV-600, SV-800) and can be customized with different clamp sizes. The side clamp design is also offered as an option on standard FV series models.
Manufactured from high-strength steel, the side clamp assembly is reinforced to withstand the lateral forces during pile driving. The eccentric vibration system is enclosed for safety and durability.
We offer custom clamp sizes to fit specific pile profiles (e.g., U-type, Z-type sheet piles). Also available with remote control for operator safety.
Sheet Pile Driving Under Bridge (China) – A piling contractor used our side grip pile driver mounted on an excavator to install sheet piles under a highway bridge with only 2.5m headroom. The project was completed on time with zero noise complaints, and the machine operated reliably for over 2 years.
