2. Product Structure and Applicable Standards
Reference Interface Standards: A-A-59326 (formerly MIL-C-27487) and EN 14420-7 / DIN 2828 for applicable cam-and-groove designs.
Type A combines a male adapter nose, annular locking groove, sealing-contact face and female threaded connection. It mates with compatible Type B, C and D female couplers. Cam arms and gasket sit in the mating coupler.
3. Stainless Steel Material Grades
Body Options: Stainless steel 304 and 316, with 316L options for specified material and fabrication requirements.
Cast equivalents include CF8 (304) and CF8M (316); 316L is specified separately.
Grade selection considers chemicals, chlorides, cleaning media and temperature. Material certificates and heat traceability are available.

5. Working Pressure, Temperature and Flow
Working pressure depends on nominal size, stainless steel body geometry, threaded connection, mating coupler, gasket and operating conditions. Larger diameters may require lower working pressures.
Temperature depends on grade, fluid and gasket. Flow selection considers bore, pipe size and pressure loss.
6. Cam Groove Engagement and Sealing
The Type A male nose enters the female camlock socket. Its annular groove receives the mating coupler's cam arms, drawing the adapter face against the gasket inside the coupler.
Mating Gasket Options: NBR (Buna-N), EPDM, FKM and silicone for suitable service media. Type A has no cam levers or main gasket. Its female thread seals separately.

Manufacturing: Stainless steel casting or machined production, followed by precision CNC finishing of the nose, groove, internal thread, sealing face and flow passage.
Finish Options: Cleaned stainless steel, with passivation, polishing and identification marking according to requirements.
