{{ variable.name }}
Features:
Extremely long storage life; extremely high reliability; instant activation, high power output; maintenance-free; wide temperature adaptability.Thermal batteries are the "special forces" of the power supply field. They do not aim for long-term continuous power but maximize "absolute reliability during ultra-long standby and the ability to deliver instantaneous high power."

Application:
1.Missiles and Rockets:
· Power Supply: Provides electricity for the missile's guidance system, flight control computer, servos, etc.
· Ignition/Detonation: Supplies explosive pulse current for inter-stage separation rockets, warhead fuzes, and self-destruct devices.
· Typical Examples: Almost all tactical missiles (such as the "Stinger" and "Patriot"), strategic missiles (intercontinental ballistic missiles), and launch rockets make extensive use of thermal batteries.
·Guided Shells and Smart Ammunition: Shells endure extremely high G-forces (>10,000g) during launch. Only thermal batteries and certain solid-state batteries can reliably operate in this environment and power onboard electronic devices.
2.Torpedoes and Underwater Weapons
Provide initial power for torpedo propulsion motors, guidance systems, and fuzes, while withstanding the shock and pressure of underwater launches.
3.Pilot Survival Systems
In ejection seats, thermal batteries activate the seat's sequence controller, explosive cutters, stabilization parachute rockets, etc., ensuring the rescue procedure works flawlessly. Their reliability is life-critical.
4.Spacecraft and Satellites
Used for one-time critical operations such as rocket stage separation, satellite solar panel deployment, and module separation, providing absolutely reliable pulse power.Serve as backup power for deep space probes or as power during specific mission phases.
5.Downhole Drilling and Logging Tools
In Measurement While Drilling (MWD) and perforation operations, after tools are lowered several thousand meters underground, a reliable power supply is needed to power measurement sensors and perforation igniters in high temperature and high-pressure environments. Thermal batteries are ideal because they are heat-resistant, pressure-resistant, and maintenance-free.
6.Emergency and Backup Power
Similar to underwater applications, used in underwater locator beacons of airplane black boxes. Upon an accident, the beacon activates in water and sends out a distress signal.
7.Emergency Startup for Critical Facilities
Provides backup power for one-time emergency equipment requiring extremely high reliability (such as emergency shutdown systems in nuclear facilities).
Emergency rescue, power source for forest fire control
Emergency rescue, lifesaving, power supply for petroleum exploration equipment.
