The product is a linear polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) with vinyl end groups. The dimethylsiloxane backbone provides flexibility and thermal stability, while terminal vinyl groups enable crosslinking with Si-H functional silicone compounds (e.g., hydrogen-containing silicone oil) in the presence of a platinum catalyst.
