It is aimed at projects that need a nylon-based strap construction for products staying outdoors and facing UV exposure, rain, moisture, temperature change and repeated loading.

The weathering figures published for the AgingGuard series come from the 30 mm high-tenacity polyester reference construction, which recorded a 3.9% breaking strength loss after 400 hours of fluorescent UV weathering with 4 h light / 4 h condensation cycles, against a technical requirement of no more than 8%. For Nylon 66 programmes, width, thickness, color and construction are developed to the requirements of the finished product rather than a fixed catalogue size.

Materials and Structure

Nylon 66 and high-tenacity polyester are the two named material directions for this series, and other polyester or nylon constructions are also available for development. The webbing is woven as a functional construction and treated with a surface protection finish intended to support strength retention, weather resistance, water and stain resistance and appearance stability.

Because the construction is not locked to one size, the woven structure, the finish and the final width and thickness are planned together with the strap design rather than selected from a fixed list of stock items.
